RACE will provide grants to
2. Grants will be made to
support progressive ideas in sports programs, health and fitness projects, and
other related needs.
3.
Grants will not normally be made for
operating budgets, or for basic educational or basic athletic operations.
4.
Grants are ordinarily made for one year.

Projects which effect the greatest number of children.
·
Projects not adequately served by existing
school resources.
·
Projects that facilitate cooperation and
collaboration between organizations.
·
Projects that generate more endowment funds
and community resources.
·
Projects that are unique and have not
previously received similar funding.
·
Equipment and supplies that can be used
from year to year i.e. non-disposable.
·
Specific priorities with regard to sports
camps will be as follows:
1.
The first priority is to follow the above general
policies and priorities.
2.
The second priority will be given to
current members of a school sports, intramurals, clubs, or teams.
3.
The third priority is to provide funds to
seventh and eighth grade student-athletes that are attending a college or university
for the sports camp.
4.
After these priorities have been
considered, with all others being equal, the committee will decide and vote to
either:
a.) Assign each application a number and pull a
random number or numbers.
or
b.) Divide the amount of funds available evenly
between the remaining applications.

scholarships will be as follows:
