| ...me. I can't believe you're
actually reading this. I am a 31-year-old father of two from Spokane, Washington, USA. I have Master's degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University, a Bachelor's degree in business administration and information systems from the University of Washington, and a Professional of Human Resources certification from the Society of Human Resource Management. I am a six-year veteran of the United States Army, where I was a combat engineer sergeant with the 1st Armored Division and 2nd Infantry Division. I was stationed in Korea, Ft. Leonard Wood, Ft. Lewis, and Ft. Monmouth, and saw many more places as part of routine training deployments. My prayers and admiration are with my friends who are serving in the Persian Gulf right now as part of the struggle to bring democracy and freedom to the oppressed peoples of Iraq. I began playing wargames and role-playing games in 1980, when my sister (who's ten years older than me) introduced me to Star Fleet Battles, D&D, and all things fantastical. I took a break from gaming while I served in the Army and for a few years afterwards, while I went through college and established myself, and finally decided to get back into the hobby just about two years ago. It's been interesting seeing the changes that have come around in that time; gaming is no longer just a cottage industry, but a multi-million dollar enterprise that involves some very large companies. All I can say is: it's good to be back. |
