|
Sponsored by Friends of Tryon Creek
State Park |
| Welcome to our Tuesday series of day hikes and rambles, most within two hours of Lake Oswego. “Hikes” are for hikers of intermediate ability. “Rambles” are typically shorter, less rugged, and more leisurely paced -- perfect for beginners. |
| Meeting Places All “Hikes” leave at 8:00 a.m. and “Rambles” at 8:30 a.m., unless otherwise indicated, from the City of Lake Oswego West End Building (4101 Kruse Way) lower parking lot. Individual descriptions include second pickup times and places. (See below for legend.) New participants should arrive 15 minutes early. All mileages indicated are roundtrip. |
| Fees All daytrips are free for members of Friends of Tryon Creek State Park ($30 per year or $40 per family); non-members pay $1 per trip. Carpool fees listed in description. $1 registration fee required on your first trip each year. |
| Preparation Weather-appropriate clothing, including hiking socks and lug-soled waterproof boots, recommended. Your daypack should carry your lunch, water, rain gear, and extra clothing. Always leave your trip plans with a family member or friend. |
| The Fine Print Leaders reserve the right to change daytrip locations because of poor driving or hiking conditions. Participants are responsible for their own safety and must be accompanied by an adult if under 18. No dogs, please. |
| Registration Form The first time you hike with the Daytrippers you will be asked to complete a 1-page registration form. |
