Chinese Puzzle Rings: A detailed History through the ages . . . . . introducing the Spiral-Flex handle

<<< Picture one shows you that the major outer perimeter holes are designated with letters A, B, C and D, with the inner gold cord loop facing you .

Start by taking the gold loop and inserting it through hole 'A' and behind the white perimeter cord .

Work the gold loop down towards the white perimeter cord's end fixture . . . . .

. . . . . around its end, and settling in front of the white perimeter cord, and thread it back up through the hole .

Now you have placed a part of the inner gold cord outside of the first perimeter cord at hole 'A' .

Start threading the gold loop through hole 'B', again behind the white perimeter cord .

Again draw the loop down towards the white perimeter cord end fixture . . . . .

. . . . . and around to the front of (outside) the white perimeter cord, and up through the hole to the platform's topside .

Now the entire gold loop has completely surrounded both white perimeter cords at holes 'A' and 'B' on the outside .

At this point, pull the gold loop up towards the top of the puzzle, where all the cords are joined together, and draw it over to the other side of the platform . . . . .

. . . . . you're halfway there !

We now start again -- threading the gold loop through hole 'C' --  this time, from the front (outside) of the white perimeter cord !

Again pull the gold loop down towards the end fixture . . . . .

. . . . . and behind the white perimeter cord .

note:   the actions on this side of the puzzle are just reversed from the first side . (inside > outside)   (outside > inside)

Almost there !   You've now released the gold loop from perimeter hole 'C' .

For the last time, thread the gold loop through hole 'D', in front of the white perimeter cord . . . . .

. . . . . and pull the gold loop down towards the end fixture, and around its end . . . . .

. . . . . towards the back (inside) of the white perimeter cord . . . . .

. . . . . and up through the hole -- to the platform's topside .

The gold loop is now free of all the white perimeter cords !

Notice how the gold loop is also free from itself !
