Server Setup Assistance
Steps to success:
1. Download Lineage 2 C4 client.
2. Install Lineage 2 C4 client.
3. Download L2ED installation patch.
4. Install Patch.
5. Log in and play!
Step 1. If you haven't already, download the actually Lineage 2 game from this location. Once at that page, click the agree button if you agree to the terms and conditions. Click the "Full Size Download" button. Remember to save it to a location when you can find it later. Download speeds will vary, but it will take roughly 50-70 hours on dial-up, and about 2-10 on DSL, and 1-5 on cable.
Step 2. Once the download for the game has completed, you need to unzip it and install it. To unzip it, you will need a program such as WinRAR (once at that site, click the 'Download Now' link, it is a 40 day free trial of the program). Once the contents are extracted, locate the folder called "L2_C4_Installer." Open it and run the file called setup.exe. Allow the program to install, once it is complete, you do not need to run Lineage 2 yet.
Step 3. Now that you have Lineage 2, you need to download our server patch. There are two locations for download, both stink and are hard to use, so take your pick.
Mirror One - RapidShare.De:
Once you get to the site linked above, scroll down and click the 'Free' button. You now have to wait 45 seconds. You can see the numbers counting down in the center. Choose a server mirror, and punch in the three digit access code. This will begin your download. The patch is 60 megabytes, and will take 1-2 hours on dial up and 2-30 minutes on DSL/cable.
Mirror Two - MegaUpload.com:
Once you are at the site linked above, find the three digit confirmation code/box towards to top of the page, to the right of the 'MegaUpload' banner. Type in the code, including capitals. If successful, a countdown will appear, wait 45 seconds. Once the countdown is complete, a link will appear in its place, click it to FINALLY download the file. The patch is 60 megabytes, and will take 1-2 hours on dial up and 2-30 minutes on DSL/cable.

Once it has finished downloading, you will need an extraction program to unRAR it, one such program is WinRAR (once at that site, click the 'Download Now' link, it is a 40 day free trial of the program). Once you have extracted it, simply run the .exe file and extract the files to your Lineage 2 directory. If you don't know what your Lineage 2 directory IS, then leave it default (C:\Program Files\Lineage II).
Step 5. Once it has finished installed, simply click the 'L2 Eternal Darkness' icon on your desktop to load the game. Once it has started, type in your desired username/password into the blanks. Be very careful, you cannot recover your password OR reset it. Log in and enjoy! ^_^
