Monthly update from Kevin Reilly:
204B training presently being done.
Craft training will start Friday on Tour 3.
Set up local training for employees to back up core members.
Core members/Alternates 16 hour Training
Bird Problem
Requisition for Ecco Lab has been signed off and maintenance is waiting for a date to move forward.
Ecco Lab will place netting and traps and come back and clean up.
Paul will contact Ecco lab to get a fixed schedule for them to check the traps.
Water fountains to be checked and cleaned of bird droppings. (Check water temps)
Form 1767 from Hazard Log
Discussion and review of 1767’s beginning with #60069 through 60097.
Committee recommends employee should receive a copy of the completed 1767.
The date employee received their copy should be annotated on the form and initialed or signed by supervisor/manager giving the copy back.
Chocking Procedures
Current procedures for chocking are in place and will not be changed at this time. APWU states that a mail handler needs an escort to go in the yard to check a chock. Mail Handlers want to encourage chocking. The EL-814 is clear on this subject under the operating rules of Power Industrial Trucks.
Pedestrian Crossing Lines
No update yet on locations. Lou Morrone will like to go with Safety and maintenance to identify intersections in the building that need lines painted for pedestrian crossings.
PIVMS
Warranty is still in effect . Waiting on data from Headquarters. Will provide unions a copy when received.
Debris Belt – So Primary
Waiting on parts. Should be in today and operational by tomorrow.
Crosswalk – West Parking Lot
Need to find a solution on where to start the crosswalk.
VPP Sub-Committee
No committee yet. Waiting on final say from Plant Manager. Proposed members were SDO Ansuini (T-3) and MDO Beckett (Tour 1)
