Open discussion was conducted on the power
failure of
Painting
in the Primaries
A review of the procedures for painting the stair rails was conducted by management and it was agreed that in certain areas, painting would not be completed while employees were working the area. J Rohrer will provide feedback to the employees in the area.
ERRP
Kevin Reilly presented the committee a list and description of ongoing ergonomic team projects. The Sack Shakeout manual dumping of sacks was discussed; Safety will provide JSA from other facilities with manual operations. Operations will move sacks to other zones when a machine is down for repair/maintenance.

A review of Hazard Reports was discussed with a few individual reports being identified. Maintenance explained the problems identified with PIVMS and informed the committee additional training will be presented in the next 2 weeks for personnel to monitor the system. Safety expressed concerns with some hazard reports being filed while leaving exits and emergency equipment blocked. Safety will reissue talks to all employees and a memo to management on the handling of Hazard Reports
Asbestos
Labels
Maintenance indicated new asbestos labels were on order and should arrive in the next week. A new information label will be affixed next to the Lobby Elevator.
VOA
Office
Maintenance investigated the air flow complaints in the VOA Office and found the bathroom fan was wired with the light in the Contractors Lounge, the wiring was changed to have the fans on at all times.
New
Spotters
Transportation indicated the VMF is moving along with the changes to the spotters, however a contract was needed to install the Janus system. There was no expected completion date at this time. Carl indicated that new spotters were being utilized now on an as needed basis, but due to the need to communicate by radio, he did not anticipate all of the spotters would be utilized. At this time approximately two-thirds of the drivers have been trained on the new vehicles
