SSIU 4 Fire

There was open discussion on the SSIU -4 Fire. The investigation was not yet completed, oce information is finalized it will be distributed to all parties and discussed at the next JLMSHC meeting. Ms. Brittingham identified Safety as performing all investigations of incidents in the facility. A review of the evacuation of 5/31 will also be conducted.

Semi-Annual Inspection

An updated abatement list was provided, 4 open items remained with a projected abatement date of Friday, September29th. No imminent or serious hazards remained.

PSM-3 Catwalks

Management agrees that no-one will be permitted on the PSM3 North and South end catwalks unless the machine is locked out. Safety will review machine guarding standards and develop a interim solution. Po ssibly extending guardrails above the mid point.

JSA’s for Sack Shake Out

This item should have been resolved. Safety will re-issue JSA to all employees affected. ERRP will work with Safety to ensure any employee affected by changes are properly instructed on new procedures. JSA will be posted in the SSO area.

Kevin Reilly presented the committee a list and description of ongoing ergonomic team projects.  

35LB Sack Limit

Ms. Brittingham indicated this was a miss print by the manufacturer on a National contract. If the sack is too heavy for an employee to handle, they may request assistance as in the past.

1767, 1769 Review

The review of accident and hazard report data will resume at the next JLMSHC meeting. Year end numbers will be reviewed to identify trends and areas of concern

Next meeting tentatively scheduled for 10/30/06
