French Creek
|
We've been camping in French Creek State Park in Elverson, Pennsylvania for many years now and it is still one of our favorites. In fact, we camped here on our very first tent camping trip many moons ago. Since French Creek is only about 45 minutes away from home, it makes for a quick and easy weekend getaway.

The Brush Hill Camping Area at French Creek has four loops with large, wooded sites. Some of the loops have electric hookups. Each loop has a centrally located bath house with flush toilets and hot showers. The Park does a pretty good job of maintaining the facilities.
The Park has two lakes, Hopewell Lake and Scots Run Lake. Hopewell Lake, the larger of the two, features canoe and boat rentals. Both are good for fishing. The Park also has a swimming pool and miles of hiking trails.
