Pioneer Settler in Oakwood Dies at Hospital Here
Services for Mrs. Joseph LaBerge Scheduled Tuesday

Mrs. Joseph LaBerge, 85, pioneer resident of Walsh county, died Thursday at a Grafton hospital where she had been a patient for the last 18 months.

She was born in Chicoppe Falls, Mass., April 15, 1870, and came to Walsh county at the age of 16. She married Joseph LaBerge at Oakwood and they resided on a farm in that community until moving to Grafton about 30 years ago.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Wm. Campbell, Mrs. Oscar Ebert, Evelyn LaBerge, Grafton, and Marie LaBerge, Jamestown; five sons, D.J. LaBerge, Grafton, O.R. LaBerge, Grafton and Chicago, A.J. LaBerge, Minneapolis, and Stanley and Victor LaBerge, both of Longview, Wash. There are also several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Here husband preceded her in death.

Mrs. LaBerge was a member of St. John’s Catholic church in Grafton and of St. John’s Altar Society. Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic church, with Rev. John Garland officiating. The body will be placed in a vault and burial will be at a later date at Sacred Heart cemetery, Oakwood. The body will lie in state at the Kamrowski Funeral Home in Grafton until the time of service
