Wicca

Since the beginning of time, man
has incorporated various forms of ritual into our daily lives which serve
to celebrate, honor, seek guidance and assistance, and give thanks to the
deities that create and watch over all life on Earth. This practice
of honoring the entity that has created us, continues to this day in the
form of many diverse religions and religious practices that abound throughout
the world. I do not dispute, nor disagree with the right of every
human being to worship as their heart may direct them. I wish only
love and light to all children of the Earth, regardless of their religious
practices and beliefs. I have personally chosen the Wiccan path,
as it is the direction that my heart and soul has led me. During
my life, I have experienced joy, pain, sorrow, and much love. I have
learned a great deal and have experienced a multitude of wonders that life
has to offer. And yet, I am still and hopefully will always be open
to new ideas and teachings as I continue on into this new age of enlightenment.
Wicca is a nature based religion
that recognizes and focuses on the feminine in divinity and the seasonal
cycles of the Earth. Wiccans believe that divinity exists internally
within ourselves and externally throughout what we conceive to be the universe.
Wiccans place a great deal of importance on protecting and nurturing the
environment, as we are all a part of the natural world. We see the
use of psychic abilities, magic, spells and divination as part of our natural
abilities that have been graciously bestowed upon us by the Goddess and
God. We utilize these tools to bring about positive change in our
daily lives, as well as the world around us. Wiccans follow one simple
rule which states, "An thou harm none, do what thou wilt". This basically
means that we are all free to live as we feel we must so long as what we
do does not in any way harm others or ourselves.
In Wicca, as in other religions,
we have traditions that we follow which may be somewhat different from
one group or coven to the next, depending upon our various heritage's,
teachers, or regions in which we may live. There is no "right or
wrong" way of practicing Wicca; there is only what feels right to you within
your heart, body, and spirit. Through my web pages, I will share
with you some of the information that I have gathered and use in my everyday
life as a Wiccan. I hope that this information will be helpful to
you as you as you search for and discover your own path of spiritual enlightenment.
