Secret Tree of Light
~
Deep inside the rain forest there
lives a mighty tree
Untouched by human hands and only
seen by three
One man is a native of skin and
bone and leaves
Two were outsiders, but only one
could leave
~
I know the secret of the tree of
light
I've seen it shine on a starry
night
~
I think there's a mighty crystal
at the foot of that tree
When a full moon is shining it
glows endlessly
On a starry night when the moon
is full and the animals never sleep
Reflections of the glow shine up
from the deep
~
I know the secret of the tree of
light
I've seen it shine on a starry
night
~
All the forest life gather round
the tree
As if they were feeding off some
endless energy
This tree has kept a secret and
survived for centuries
I hope that no man ever finds that
crystal mystery
~
I know the secret of the tree of
light
I've seen it shine on a starry
night
~
White men dig in caves not more
than fifty miles away
Looking for the answers and tearing
the earth away
Somehow I think she's fighting
back just to let us know
The more we dig the less we live,
the sicker we all grow
~
I know the secret of the tree of
light
I've seen it shine on a starry
night
