Jennifer Strong R.Ac. (Dr.TCM.-Alberta), is a Registered Acupuncturist, practicing acupuncture and Oriental medicine since 1996. She completed her medical training at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, following an undergraduate degree earned at Mills College (an ivy-league women’s college). Jennifer has completed additional training in facial rejuvenation and in advanced acupuncture techniques. As Sheng Zhen chi (qi) gong has proven to be deeply effect in healing on every level, and as it is assessable to beginners, Jennifer continues to study Sheng Zhen. She is authorized by its’ founder, Li Jun Feng, to teach, and so offers classes through the Comox Recreation Centre and at her clinic. Education Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Mills College (one of the 'seven sisters' group of ivy-league women's colleges), where she minored in Asian studies. Then, she went on to earn her Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. TravelIn addition to her academic work, her residency and extensive travel in Japan and China served to deepen her understanding of Asian culture and thus, her comprehension of Chinese medical theory. Certification Jennifer has successfully completed all four of the stringent U.S. national licensing examinations, administered by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists, and the Alberta acupuncture registration exam, administered by the Alberta Health Disciplines Board.
