I attended Northern Arizona U in Flagstaff and majored in chemistry
and criminal justice. Off to the east coast for an MS in forensic science
and then returned to NM where I worked with the NM State Police for several
years as a forensic chemist. I saw every nook and cranny of the state,
processed crime scenes and testified. I also found a husband--Mike,
and we have been married since 1985. Next I worked at LANL for a bit
and decided to go back to school at the ripe age of 30. I attended NMSU,
did a post-doc, and then went to Washington. I taught for 9 years at
Eastern Washington University in Spokane and worked with the State Patrol
to set up a forensic chemistry program. In 2003 we headed east to West
Virginia University where we have settled. WV is great; like NM except
with rain. My husband oversees crime scene training and we are enjoying
our home and a couple of acres of lovely property.
No kids; I like other people's children and enjoy being an aunt to my
brother's two kids. Adam lives close by in Baltimore which has been
fun for both.
