Meredith FullmanI think I was one of the few 1977 graduates who stayed in Los Alamos after graduation. I worked at Maria's restaurant for nickels and dimes waiting tables; which is now the HillTop House. A year or so later, I moved to Albuquerque where I graduated from T-VI (CNN) with a Surveying and Drafting certificate. I worked for ten or so years in San Antonio, Texas, after earning my certificate as a surveyor and watched the world and markets changed as the crash of the 1980s hit this country like a violent storm. The crash had strong roots in Texas with the oil savings going bust, the rest is history. I limped back to Albuquerque and earned a certificate from T-VI in business management where I worked for ten years bouncing from Fortune Five Hundred companies to non-profits where I learned many business lessons; as well as life lessons. Somehow in between all the work, I managed to earn my BA in organizational psychology from the College of Santa Fe, and in 1995, I started my homestead on the mesa east of Los Lunas. In 2002, I settled in working at the Los Lunas Public Schools. In 2005, I began working on my vineyard, Casa de Paz. Maybe by the 40th reunion I will be able to produce a nice bottle of wine. To quote a famous cartoon character, "That's all Folks." |
