Cindy (Harder) NicholsonChildren: Crystal (24), Daniel (14) Here’s what I’ve been up to since 1977: I went to college for four years in Tulsa, and received a BS in computer science. Then, I worked in computers in San Diego. That was supposed to be for two years, but lasted seven. San Diego was a great place to live! In 1988, I moved to Vienna, Virginia, in the Washington, D.C., area, got a JD from Georgetown Law, and started a career as a patent attorney doing digital technology and electrical engineering patents. I’m still in Vienna, and will be here for the foreseeable future since DC is the center of the universe for patent attorneys. I did my time at mega-law firms, and now am a partner at a firm in Reston that just does patents. (The website is www.poszlaw.com.) For fun along the way, I played lots of volleyball and soccer; I allegedly learned golf; and I was certified as a diver. I get away at least once a year to do some serious skiing, preferably in real mountains--the Rockies. (The so-called mountains in Virginia are pretty flat.) I do some trail running and road running, pretty much so that I don’t expire when I go skiing. I played flute in a flute choir and/or community orchestra for years, but I have no time any more! I swear, as I get older, the days are getting shorter! I have two great kids, the lights of my life. My lovely daughter Crystal (24) is a nurse; she loves to snowboard, do sign language and play harp. My son Daniel (14) is in 9th grade at Thomas Jefferson HS for Science and Technology; he inherited the computer science and music genes. And I have a silly little dog named Mike who is part of the family and also plays piano (really!). I will try to get to the reunion! |
