I did one year at Eastern New Mexico University, then finished my undergraduate
at Iowa State University in a total of four years (doesn't sound that
impressive until you know I changed majors 7 times). Moved to Houston
TX and started working in the Arts (Houston Grand Opera, box office--not
singing). Went to Texas Tech University for graduate school and finished
my master's in Nutrition.
Stephen talked me into moving to the Twin Cities.
Worked in theaters for a few more years-got personally yelled at by
Miles Davis because my boss was out for lunch. Then I used my computer
skills
to get jobs in corporations. After staying at any job for a maximum
of 3 years (and I had a lot of those), I spent the last 15 years developing
a job I liked at Honeywell. I help run a technical communications department,
perform software training, and database management to produce printed
and web based product catalogs.
Stephen still lives up here as well and
we have a small opera company that produces operas he has written to
perform in people's living rooms (company name is Living Room Opera).
I do stage and property management, still not singing so the world
is safe from that. I have been working on my poetry and wrote one of
the
librettos.
I have finally made it to Scotland--spent almost 3 months over 3 years
there. I have evidence of the Loch Ness Monster I found after I discovered
the pleasures of single malt Scotch.
I don't have any current spouse or partner. I do have stories abut my
worst dating experiences over the years. (Don't worry none of them
are about anyone in the 1977 class).
I have been teaching beginning yoga for 6 years.
