Attended New Mexico State University and graduated in 1981 with a business major.
Married Robert Ortiz in 1982 and moved to Santa Fe.
Had three children and stayed home and home schooled them.
Started part-time in 1998 as costumer for National Dance Institute of New Mexico. Went full-time in 2006. All three children danced with NDI-NM, so incorporated job with home school and raising family.
Our daughter Sarah was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005, so I've spent the past two years helping take care of her and her family. She passed away in March and left a husband and three small children. I am continuing to help take care of her family in addition to my own--one son in college and the other has one more year in high school.
Additionally, over the years, we have been very active in our church--as youth pastors, children's pastors, teaching Bible studies, etc. God, church and family are the center of our lives.
