Dear Lake Boon area residents:

Once again, we are running a septic pumping program this fall, both to get all of us around the lake volume discounts when we pump together and also to get everyone on a 1 - 2 year pumping schedule because:

1.  Your septic system requires maintenance by its design (e.g., pumping is required to remove accumulated solids)

2.  Poorly maintained systems pose grave public health and environmental threats

3.  Maintaining your system will prevent premature system failure, saving you significant money in replacement system design and installation costs

4.  Maintaining your system will help preserve property values (on which failed septic systems can have a considerable negative impact)

Casaceli Trucking again gave us the best price this year, actually a BETTER price than last year!!

If we have 3 people pump their septic system the same day in November, we each get 10% off;  if 6 people or more, we get 15% off, and if it's 10 people or more, we get other fee reductions.  

The current price, same as last year, is $125 for first 1000 gals. and 10 cents per gal thereafter.

With 3 - 5 people and our 10% discount, we would get $112.50* first 1000 gals. and  $.09 per gal. thereafter.  With 6 - 9 people, and our 15% discount, we'd get $106.25* and still $.09 per gal. thereafter.  With 10 people or more, we'd still get the 15% discount ($106.25) and he'd give us $.08 per gal. thereafter.

Rich also will waive the extra charge for over 40 feet of hose.  Extra charges will still apply to dig out the septic lid ($10/ft./lid) or for snaking or emergency services.

*This price is dependent on Casaceli's dumping station not announcing a price increase -- if they do, he'd have to pass it on to us.

Anyone who lives within a mile of the lake is eligible, so please tell your friends to call too, and we'll all get a better price!  (Whoever did the program last year, I'll contact you next year.  If you pumped on your own last year, contact me for my 2004 list also - thanks!)
