SILVER LAKE HIGH WATER PROJECT AGREEMENT

WHEREAS, the high water levels of Silver Lake are damaging to water quality, shore lines and improvements, and
WHEREAS, the Silver Lake Association has gathered $11,000.00 in pledges to study means of lowering said water level, and
WHEREAS, Barron County maintains Grant Park, with picnic, playground, boat landing and beach on Silver Lake , and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Barron County to assist the Silver Lake Association in ascertaining a means in alleviating these high waters.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Forest and Recreation Committee be empowered to enter into contracts to conceive and formalize a plan to lower these high waters and that a sum sufficient amount $9000.00 be transferred from the General Fund to a non-lapsing account to fund the County’s share of this project and to accept the donation from the Silver Lake Association, andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the $11,000.00
 donated by the Silver Lake Association is to be expended before any county dollars and that the county’s participation in this study in no way obligates Barron County to any future participation in projects to lower the level of Silver Lake .
