very much for the great amount
of patience shown trying to get
me to cast again. I know now
that you are a great teacher and
fisherman. The fantastic lunch
provided was a gourmet treat to
say the least. Never in my
dreams I ever thought of eating
shrimp cocktail along side a
wonderful mountain river. Your
knowledge of fly fishing allows
you give the student the help
needed to improve the student's
overall ability. Additionally,
you showed me some outstanding
fishing sites and how to fish
them. The instruction was so
good a raw novice was able to
fish the next 2 days solo and
catch several trout, both browns
and rainbows.
This trip would be
for a full day (8 hours) on a
Saturday or Sunday, winning bidders
choice. (Some
Weekdays are also available, just
email or call for availability
before you bid if you are wanting to
fish during the week)
Winning bidder is
responsible for all gear, tackle,
licenses, etc. Guide
supplies his own equipment. We would
meet at a predetermined location and
the guide would provide
transportation to and from the
streams if needed. The guide has
been fly fishing for 30 years, 27
years in the Smokies and guiding in
the Smokies for 6 years. |

The full day is also available
with just sandwiches for $170.00 for 1-2 people.
Gratuities for the guide are appreciated and are not
included in the trip pricing.
Half day trips are from 8:00 AM to
12:00 noon or 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. I do not provide lunch for
the half day trip. The half
day trip is for 1-2 people & is priced at $100.00 for 1-2
people. Gratuities for the guide are appreciated
and are not included in the trip pricing.
Weekend Getaways
Our weekend trip is for 2 nights in
Gatlinburg. The package includes, 2 nights lodging, 2 days
of guided fishing by me for 1-2 people, meals for Saturday
and Sunday (my wife is a gourmet chef) and maybe even
a nice "toddy". Sometimes, a few
“good” cigars are known to show up! The lodging is located
at around 2,900 feet in elevation, away from the crowds, and
has a gorgeous view of Mt. Le Conte. The accommodations and
meals are provided by my wife and the rest is up to me.
This trip starts at $800.00
for the weekend, with special requests priced separately.
If you priced the items individually, you could expect the
guide service on being $300 to $400 for 2 days, 2 nights
lodging for $300 and food for 2 days at $250.00 plus other
expenses. But with us, you get PAMPERED service! And, the
client’s bedroom has its own sliding door to the screened in
porch! Shorter or longer packages can be priced upon
request. Gratuities for the guide are appreciated and are
not included in the trip pricing.
Nation Wide
Guiding
My other trip that I offer is my guide
service to any destination in the US. I have fished everywhere, from
coast to coast, north to south.
The trip is $180.00 per day of
fishing and my travel and expenses are included as long as
we are fishing within a 200 mile radius of Nashville. If
the trip is say for Montana, then the client would pickup my
travel which is negotiable. This the coolest trip as I have
been blessed to have been able to have fished on the BEST
trout waters in the
US. I have also fished salt water and
have a fly-fishing sidekick in Tampa who is almost as good a fly fisherman as
me but not quite! He can take us to
many of his favorite fishing spots. Gratuities for the guide
are appreciated and are not included in the trip pricing.
Fly Fishing
Classes
We offer Fly fishing classes which can
be taught at any location specified by the client. Travel is
handled as in the Nation Wide Guiding service. The class is
for 1-4 people for a full 8 hours.
The price is $250.00 and
$35.00 extra for each person above the 4.
