Icon Guide Reference:

This show features all four members of the main cast fairly equally, or where all four are important to the story.
This show is a "buddy" show, meaning there is dynamic interaction between Jess and Slim, either dramatic or comedic, throughout a major portion of the episode.
Jess and Slim are featured more or less equally, though the plot is not necessarily a "buddy" type of show.

Season 1: Welcome Home, Jess!

Stage Stop (Sep. 15, 1959) - Drifter Jess Harper arrives in Laramie where he immediately becomes involved with Slim Sherman and his family.

Glory Road (Sep. 22, 1959) - Jess decides to leave his new found family when he fears for their safety after an old "crazed" acquaintance seeks him out.

Circle of Fire (Sep. 29, 1959) - Slim fights to save passengers on the stageline after one of them mortally wounds the son of the Pawnee Chief.

Fugitive Road (Oct. 6, 1959) - Jess feels obligated to leave the ranch in order to lead his sister's husband to Canada.

Star Trail (Oct. 13, 1959) - Jess acts as deputy sheriff but comes to realize the sheriff is involved with the bank robbery he is investigating.

The Lawbreakers (Oct. 20, 1959) - Jess goes undercover with the old gang of Judge Barnaby Cade in an attempt to find an old bank heist.

The Iron Captain (Oct. 27, 1959) - Slim fights to save Jess' life when Jess is taken hostage by Sam Prado.

General Delivery (Nov. 3, 1959) - A hired gun comes to Laramie, and the question is who is he after -- Jess or Slim?

The Run to Tumavaca (Nov. 10, 1959) - Jess leaves the Sherman Ranch to take an old flame to Mexico.

The General Must Die (Nov. 17, 1959) - Slim's old army mate Whit Malone arrives at the ranch, but the reunion is only a facade as Malone secretly is aiding in a plan to kill General Sherman.

Dark Verdict (Nov. 24, 1959) - An old friend's of Jess is accused of murder and then prematurely lynched.

Man of God (Dec. 1, 1959) - A priest comes to Wyoming on a mission -- to bring peace between the Sioux and the white man.

Bare Knuckles (Dec. 8, 1959) - Jonesy takes on Terrible Terry Mulligan in a boxing match.

The Lonesome Gun (Dec. 15, 1959) - Ed Farrell attempts to finally get revenge on Slim's father by killing Slim (the elder Slim had once saved his own son from an accident but Farrell's son had died).

Night of the Quiet Men (Dec. 22, 1959) - An ex-marshal arrives in Laramie wanting to set up a peaceful place for reformed gunfighters to settle.

The Pass (Dec. 29, 1959) - When the Sioux go on the warpath, Jess becomes an Army scout riding with General Custer while Slim goes with a group of men to block a pass the indians might use as a means of escape from the army.

Trail Drive (Jan. 5, 1960) - Jess and Jonesy convince Slim to market their cattle by joining in with Hake Ballard's trail drive, a move which turns out to involve more than a cattle drive.

Ride into Darkness (Jan. 12, 1960) - Jess searches for a local prospector and ends up taking on a forceful Matt Jessup in a very hostile town.

Day of Vengeance (Jan. 19, 1960) - Jess escorts suspect Cabe Reynolds from Laramie to Cheyenne, but when the stage is attacked, he must protect him from those who don't want Reynolds to testify.

The Legend of Lily (Jan. 26, 1960) - Jonesy meets and becomes fascinated with the beautiful Lily Langford, a singing touring the country.

Death Wind (Feb. 2, 1960) - Jess and Slim shield an interesting group of stage passengers as a tornado hits the area.

Company Man (Feb. 9 ,1960) - Ex-gunfighter Jack Slade, now the stageline's superintendent, arrives at the ranch and promptly fires Jess.

Rope of Steel (Feb. 16, 1960) - Slim is accused of killing an elderly couple and stealing their savings.

Duel at Alta Mesa (Feb. 2, 1960) - Jess becomes the victim of a double cross when he tries to clear Tom Mannering of a robbery charge.

Street of Hate (Mar. 1, 1960) - Frank Buckley is released on parole and returns to Laramie where he is faced with a town that doesn't welcome his presence.

Ride or Die( Mar. 8, 1960) - Vernon Kane, being chased by Slim for murder, convinces a group of travelers that Slim is the real killer.

Hour After Dawn (Mar. 15, 1960) - After Mort is injured, Slim and Jess guard killer Billy Pardee and must carry out the sentence of execution.

The Protectors (Mar. 22, 1960) - Jess and Slim attempt to stop a bloody range war between cattlemen and farmers.

Saddle and Spur (Mar. 29, 1960) - Times are tough and Jess and Slim travel outside of Laramie to find work and end up as sheriff's in a small town where a beautiful lady rancher seems to be battling the entire town.

Midnight Rebellion (Apr. 5, 1960) - Jess becomes restless with ranch life and joins up with Major Cantrell who promises adventure to his carefully recruited followers.

Cemetery Road (Apr. 12, 1960) - Slim becomes involved with a passing wagon train and when one of the travelers is killed, Slim is taken hostage.

Men of Defiance (Apr. 19, 1960) - This unsold pilot for a new series involved Jess trailing a pair of murderers all the way to Fort Defiance, New Mexico where he is shot.
