Digital Paintings

Having been away from doing paintings for quite a while, I began to wonder about making a sketch, scanning it, and modifying the image with various image-manipulation programs.  This turned out to be quite a bit of fun.  Later I modified photos and made some images entirely in software, and continue to work in these three ways.   All these digital paintings on the Larch site are considerably smaller in pixels than the original work.

One
Ten Paintings: The first set of digital paintings.  Some of these are not so good, but show the direction and development of  my digital painting adventures.  I thought of them at first as "experiments", then experiments merged into paintings and now I can't tell them apart too well.

Two Ten Paintings: The second set of paintings flowed in different directions out of the first ones, but I put a bit more time into them.

Three
Ten Paintings: The paintings of the third set  include a new type -- "shadows-paintings".

Four Twelve Paintings: Serious photo-modification, shadows-painting, "stained-glass", multiple versions.

Five Four works so far: a shadows-painting, and three modified photos.
