Westside Lilo's Cafe

Seligman, Arizona (last visit: May 2009).

There isn't much to see or do when driving from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon (South Rim). Lovers of highway Americana might wish to see a small part of the near legendary Route 66, memorialized in song and on TV. One easily accessible stretch is off I-40 at Seligman, Arizona.

There are numerous little stores and restaurants, including Delgadillo's Snow Cap Drive In, The OK Saloon & Road Kill Cafe, and Westside Lilo's Cafe.

The Menu
For breakfast, typical diner food. Other than that, I didn't take note.

The Atmosphere

It's a very simple place. Sunday at 8 am was quiet; there were around 10 people in the place.

The Meal
I had a short stack of pancakes. The two large pancakes were plenty. They were the standard type, but light and with some actual flavor to boot. Two large, thin sausage patties exceeded expectations. They were juicy, had a little charring from the grill, and also had some flavor.

If you're looking for great food, there's no reason to stop here. If you're looking for a place to break up the long drive, and that happens to have decent food as well, it's a good choice.
