Curtis Stone House, 24 Common Street

Built in 1780 by Daniel Hawes, this house was sold to Dr. James Mann, a surgeon in the Revolutionary War and in the War of 1812.
Josiah Fiske lived here for a short time. Dr. Samuel Bugbee, who studied under Dr. Mann, lived here for 30 years. The Curtis Stone family, which ran a store on South Street, lived here from 1843 to 1922.
