DAVID GOROZDOS - Keyboards/Vocals

  Dave Gorozdos was ready to launch head first into a musical career from the minute his parents bought his first accordion.
 Classical studies on piano began at an early age, and by the time Dave was 12, he was playing out.  Studio work and cameo appearances with other prominent DC locals soon followed, and by the time he joined Layers in ’79, he was a seasoned trooper.
 Enjoying the improvisational freedom of rock and jazz, Gorozdos has grown as both a performer and a composer.  To make a comfortable living plying his trade is where Dave has set his sights, but in keeping with the atmosphere of Layers, reaching people through performance remains his primary goal.
 Dave’s creative keyboard renderings are an integral part of the total Layers sound.  Lending color and expression to frequently played cover tunes, he is even more adept at adding unique sounds to the band’s well crafted original material.
