Jamaal is also a decendant of Fabah thru Simeon Shai.

It is a very hard thing to decide what is the right thing to do for your companions as they age,
when you have spent much of your life with them. Carol decided to let Fizz retire here,
to spend lazy days out to pasture with a few of his old friends and cold nights in a warm stall.
Carol also knows that she can also stop in at any time to visit her old friend.
Something that should be considered when thinking of retiring a friend.

Carol is the editor for the T.R.O.D. newsletter and recently she wrote an article.
It was a very touching article to me, part of it was about Fizz.
I hope we can live up to it.


There is a special place in our hearts that is reserved for animals.....

....As an adult I got my first horse, his name was Shala Shhri Nafis, we called him "Fizz". He was a very good horse and we were together for many years. As much as I loved him, I had to part with him last year. I am fortunate that I have a friend who owns a place of her own which she fills with animals of all kinds. It is here that he dwells, in Heaven but still alive. Free to run wild with her other horses, with friends from long ago and new friends, in pastures with green grass. He has the sun and wind to invigorate him and shelter to protect him. He is happy and healthy and this is how I will remember him - forever.

......It's our horses that have provided us with some of our best friends. Being a member of a club or organization such as T.R.O.D., can bring you together with others that share the same interests as you. It's from those common interests that friendships begin. Attend some meetings, join in on activity, meet some new people, re-new old friendships. Share some experiences and make some new memories.

Thank You, Carol and Dave for giving Joshua your beloved Fizz.
We hope he will be happy turned out in the pasture here at the 'Lazy J' in semi-retirement.
