Music has always been a part of life. From piano to the organ, its always been "Keyboards".
While in Illinois Les performed every Friday and Saturday night at the Historic Arcada Theatre, before each show and at Rex's Cork and Fork Restaurant In Saint Charles Illinois. On Sundays you could find Les at the Hotel Baker for the "Sunday Brunch", also in Saint Charles and yes, Church too. Les was an active member of the Chicago Area Theatre Organ Society. Les played Theatre Pipe Organs at the Arcada and The Baker Hotel, and a Lowrey Symphonic Holiday at the Restaurant for 12 years. Les was transferred to Saint Louis Missouri in 1985 and became active with the Saint Louis Chapter of American Theatre organ Society. Les performed at the Fox Theatre in Saint Louis and for local organ clubs Les was the newsletter editor and maintains the clubs Web Site for the Saint Louis Chapter. Sunday's Les was part of the "Praise Team" for West County Community Church. Les has his first exposure to "Keyboards". Playing a Ensoniq SD1 and learning a new form of music expression, "Sequencing", Les produced many songs for the Sunday Services and special events. He later replaced the SD1 with a Ensoniq MR61. With the MR61 Les produced his first "CD". When the Church moved into their new building in 2002, Les had the privilege of playing a Lowrey Majesty that was donated to the Church. In June of 2004 Les and his wife Mary made the decision to leave Saint Louis and move to Chesterfield Virginia to be near their children. |

Moving to Virginia reunited an old friendship. While at Fort Lee I made the trip to Richmond each weekend. Eddie Weaver introduced me to many people, and I live in a community where one of those old friends lives, Mike Phillips. Mike has an Allen GW319EX, known as "Black Beauty" or "BB" for short. |
