1. What is the supervision like for an overnight camper at the Lawrenceville camp?
Safety and supervision are very important to us! Each floor has a coach and a counselor on duty. Our campers are supervised during their entire stay at each of our sites. A certified athletic trainer is on duty during the entire week, and campus security works hand in hand with the camp staff to make sure that no unauthorized persons enter the residence halls
2. What level of player enjoys the Lawrenceville camp the most?
The Lawrenceville camp benefits the young player from 7th thu 10th grades and the
Drew camp benefits those entering 1st grade thru 6th grade.
We stress the fundamentals each day but the boys have fun with short sided games and full field games as well. We have found that the Lawrenceville camp really suits those young players who have their first overnight camp experience. It's a nurturing environment
3. What distinguishes the Mid-Atlantic camp from other teaching camps?
The first thing is our staff! We don't hire staff members that we don't know! Most have played for or against coach Leanos's Drew team or they are players who play for some of the coaches who have been on the staff for years. We have a successful teaching system which has been effective for years and the campers enjoy it. We also look to former Mid-Atlantic Campers who have gone to college and enjoyed their experience at camp and want to give back.
4. Can I room with my friends?
We attempt to accommodate each campers needs. The Lawrenceville residence halls are singles, doubles and a few triples. If we can't get the friends in the same room we put them in the room next door.
5. If my son is a year younger than the minimum age can he still attend camp?
We don't encourage it because there won't be children his age
attending. We generally put campers together as follows:
Lawrenceville:
Drew:
Mini Camp:
7th and 8th graders     1st and 2nd graders            position specific
9th and 10th grades    3rd and 4th graders
                                       5th and 6th graders
6. Can my son be on a team with his friends?
We make every attempt to let them be with their buddies. We may suggest to them a move if we think that it may balance groups. We evaluate the groupings on the first day and make changes to help the balance of each team.
7. Does my son need to bring any money to camp?
For Lawrenceville yes. About $30 - $40 should be plenty.
We have a camp store and the campers like to buy snacks in the evening while they are watching movies (PG and PG13).
Campers leave their money at the camp bank and debit from it during the week.
8. If my son takes medication, how will it be administered?
The Lawrenceville school has an infirmary with a nursing staff. We recommend that you see our athletic trainer so that arrangements can be made for your child.
9. Can I get a discount if I come with my brother?
Yes, a sibling discount of $25 is available for the Lawrenceville Camp.
