Here are some of my favorite zines. The list will grow as I discover more cool things to turn you on to.

Mats Gustafsson's The Broken Face from Sweden is another great fanzine in the tradition of Ptolemaic Terrascope. Mats covers similar artists with great interviews, extensive reviews and well researched analyses of the current indie scene. A must for fellow travellers in The Terrastock Nation. Sadly, Mats discontinued publication in 2003.

Boy Howdy! Need I say more? An archive of some of their best articles. Guranteed to keep you busy for hours if you're interested in what rock and roll journalism is all about.

Crohinga Well - Well established prog/psych 'zine from Belgium. Interviews, articles, mail order, artwork, funny stories and a whole lot more. Focuses heavily on the festival-type bands like Hawkwind and the Ozrics, but also digs deep into the current international scene.
Kevin Moist is one of my favorite music journalists and his Deep Water magazine is now available in an electronic edition with excerpts from some of his back catalog.
A relative newcomer to the 'zine scene, George Parsons may be familiar to those of you who've been steadily engrossed in The Broken Face, whose covers have been painted by George for a couple of issues now. His own labor of love is stocked to the rafters with interviews, articles and tons of reviews of the type of new music that I, for one, can't live without.
The fine folks at FAKEJAZZ produce a wonderfully eclectic collection (say that three times fast!) of reviews, interviews, and articles on all the coolest music trends. Click the link to check out the reviews I wrote for them.
An excellent new psychedelic site run by musician, label mogul and writer (for The Broken Face among others) Nick Bensen and his wife, Heidi. Free City has interviews with many of my favorite performers, can help you with graphic designing and album artwork, and has reviews of releases by many of the best artists working in the psychedelic realm today. He's even begun releasing some of them on his own imprint, including two wonderful compilations of The Psychedelic Adventures of Telepathic Explorers. Check 'em out!
Jason Gross' wonderful e-zine, Perfect Sound Forever features an incredible array of features and interviews with some of the most influential and exciting artists in all styles of music, from rock to electronica to psych and all ports in between, including a few features written by yours truly!
Editor Phil McMullen and publisher Nick (The Bevis Frond) Saloman's Ptolemaic Terrascope is one of the most comprehensive music magazines in the world of psychedelic and independent music, and I'm proud to have been invited to join their illustrious staff. Their web site is host to a number of sample interviews from past issues, as well as an exclusive interview I did with Seattle's favorite sons (and daughter), The Green Pajamas. You'll also find information on Terrastock, a series of Psychedelic Music Festivals held throughout the world. If you are planning on attending future festivals, be sure to read The Terrastock Manual to prepare yourself for a weekend of entertainment unsurpassed in the annals of recent memory, although, like the Sixties, it has been said, "If you remember Terrastock, you weren't there!"

Note: The Ptolemaic Terrascope is currently edited by Pat Thomas, drummer with the San Francisco band Mushroom, and head of several record labels.
