Oakdale has a Mountain Mike's
Pizza (visible as you enter Oakdale) & a Mexican restaurant (go 1 block
past the turn for 120 and turn right).
Hiking Route:
Route requires strong Nav skills once more than 1 foot of
snow pack obscures the trail.
If you have 2 vehicles, shuttle one up to one of the eastern
campgrounds (ask rangers for what's o.k.)
˝ day:
Sunnyside Campground to Yosemite point. This is a steep, dramatic ascent up the N.
wall of the valley near Yosemite Falls.
You gain ~3,000 feet over ~ 3.5 trail miles.
˝ day:
Yosemite Point to Indian Ridge. A long walk through beautiful Yosemite woods. Camp on the lower part of Indian ridge over
looking North Dome, Half Dome, and Mt. Star King.
1.5 hour:
Check out North Dome and the view of Cloud’s Rest over
Tenaya Canyon.
Full Day:
Ascend Indian ridge, link up with the Snow Creek trail, and
descend into the cedars of Tenaya canyon.
Walk the valley back to Sunnyside or catch a shuttle.
