Make sure to stay on hwy 88 when you go through Jackson.

            Winter closures:

Heavy snow will close Carson pass.  Cary chains.

            Dinner suggestions:

Downtown Jackson has several places close together.

Hiking Route:

½ Day:

From Carson Pass contour by Elephant’s back out to Roundtop Lake.  The forest opens more and more as you move away from the pass.

½ Day:

Setup camp, build snow shelters and practice glissading on the ledges N of Round Top.

½ Day:

Scramble the W ridge of Roundtop to the summit.
