BIOGRAPHY

After spending most of my life living and working in New York, I escaped to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.   Lucky enough to be able to devote a great deal of time to my love of painting, I jumped right into watercolor.

I’ve been painting for several years and have gone from small to large and back to small format work again.  It all began because of limited space to hang my work and my background in dollhouse miniatures.  I find the little things the most challenging and fun to create.

I am primarily self taught ( I have a library of painting books and videos)  and have also participated in several workshops.  I belong to the Columbia Art Guild and WWAO.  I most enjoy using nature as subject matter for my work but will draw from anything I see around me.  (Hence the dilapidated barns, abandoned buildings, outhouses and sheds and sunbathers, flip flops and anything left by anybody’s front door)

I am fortunate enough to have regular patrons so my work is in private collections all over the states, in Canada and Europe.

Lately, ACEOs or ATCs have kept me pretty busy. Many are currently up for sale on eBay. For more information on art cards check http://aceo.art-cards.org/

Thank you for visiting my site.  Contact me with any questions and comments, I love hearing other opinions.
