Hello from the Lehr's...
We are Matt and Amy and we realize you are making one of the most difficult, selfless and loving decisions you will ever have to make. Our hearts go out to you more than you could ever know. Our biggest hope is once you meet us, your fears will be eased, and you will trust the fact that we will create the most loving, fun and nurturing environment a child could ever dream of. Adoption is a very natural thing in our family.

We are looking forward to giving our new baby the love that we share.

From the Beginning... 

Even though we came from different coasts, we found each other working in a San Diego restaurant after having graduated from San Diego State University. Surprised we had not crossed paths before (more than 30,000 students at the time), there was an instant connection. The rest is history and we knew it was meant to be. Our parents would agree, we are kindred spirits!  Almost 10 years later we love, and live like the best of friends through the good times, and the tough ones!

We know this is not an easy decision for you and hope whatever you choose you will feel peaceful. Open adoption is the only avenue we've considered, knowing it will be the best for us, you, your parents, our parents and most of all our child. Amy's mother and father were both adopted. Her father has a relationship with his birth mother; Amy's mom has always wondered about her birthparents - we do not want our child to live with the burden of the unknown. We know our child will be loved by everyone involved, and with the confidence an extended family can instill, will grow to be a happy and healthy adult. We cannot wait to meet you!
