Yesterday, Leon and Mark Lui attended a Community Chest event. Mark Lui held a Mark Lui Community Chest Concert in March which raised over HK$1 million for Community Chest. Leon attended as a member of Board of Directors. At the event, Community Chest President Selina Tsang awarded them with a Platinum Award.
Earlier, Leon went to the US to film a music movie. When asked if it's for Community Chest to raise funds, he expressed, "If all goes well, it will be for Community Chest to raise funds. (When will it release?) Still don't know yet. I have to see after editing. I will be doing the editing this time and believe it's not too difficult. I had already thought about the concept when filming." When asked how much he donated, Leon spoke frankly, "I don't even know how much I earn in my bank account." When asked if he'll continue to hold a concert for Community Chest to raise funds next year, Leon expressed the concert last time was from a sudden inspiration and certainly was not a plan. He said, "The concert last time was arranged by God for Mark Lui and a group of singers to hold a music concert. I have not thought about holding one next year and never thought about one this year and never thought about this minute."
Moreover, a reporter asked about Gillian Chung's unauthorized photograph incident. Leon said, "It's not necessary for me to respond to the news." Leon was photographed before in his home and was referred to be also a victim. Leon firmly said, "No need to respond." When asked what action does he have, he immediately signal with his hand to zip his lips and said, "I don't want to talk too much. Nothing good to say, but only can talk about something significant and worthy. Society is evolving quickly. A lot of things have to reform and protect benefits from all walks of life. This aspect is for experts to handle and not from me." Leon feels artists' reactions changed into news. Artists taking actions and aspirations cannot solve problems, so he will not respond.
