The 52nd annual meeting of the National Committees for UNICEF is held in HK from May 6-9. Many representatives from around the world came to discuss and plan on how to help and improve the well-being of Chinese children. The organizer held a cocktail reception the night before and invited International Goodwill Ambassadors Leon and Lang Lang and ambassador of Hong Kong Committee Miriam Yeung to attend. They shared their personal experiences visiting developing countries.

Becoming an ambassador in 1995, Leon thinks personally making visits to developing countries is a rare experience. He can make inspections everywhere. Speaking Mandarin onstage, he said, "Everyone's encounters and requests are different. Sometimes when you want to help, they may not need it. I don't know how to share these experiences. In short, I will continue to devote my effort and work with everyone to continue to help more people." Earlier, Lang Lang visited Tanzania in Africa. He spoke frankly that it made a big change on him. He even praised Leon and referred to him as HK's super idol. He felt it's an honor to be in the same place as him.
