The night before, the annual Community Chest Charity Show was held at TV City. Besides Community Chest Director Leon, other guest performers were Hacken Lee, Joey Yung, Lui Fong, and more. After raising HK$380,000 earlier for cooking 'Buddha Jumps Over the Wall' (soup), Leon continued to raise HK$200,000 more in a ping pong contest. He was the last performer and sang cover songs of the other three Heavenly Kings. He lip-synched probably because he was too busy and had no time to rehearse.
