To celebrate HK's handover to China, over a hundred movie industry folks from the mainland and HK attended an evening event held in Beijing last night. Stars who arrived in Beijing include Leon, Kelly Chen, Zhang Ziyi, John Woo, Peter Chan, Tony Leung, Aaron Kwok, Anthony Wong, Alan Tam, and more. Many HK actors described their feeling as 'coming home'.
During the evening, there was a special segment where the casts for two big films Mei Lanfang and Battle Of The Red Cliff were revealed. Because he was very busy, director Chen Kaige didn't come. With rumors of Leon shaving his head to play Lanfang, he used fact to deny those rumors. On this special day and growing up in Beijing, Leon sighed with emotions, "I still remember my mother taking me on a train leaving for HK." When asked about the new movie, he only replied, "Ask the production."
