Director Tony Ching of An Empress And The Warriors, along with Leon and Kelly Chen attended TVB Pay Vision entertainment news hour program. Eric Tsang, the movie's executive producer, was invited as guest host. Earlier Kelly revealed that Leon was afraid of heights more than she was during filming of the hot air balloon scene. Leon explained, "When finishing a shot, the film crew will be relaxed, and it's more safe when the basket is brought back down to the ground. Years ago, I suffered a serious injury from a fall because safety was neglected." When Leon and Donnie battled each other at the dam, Donnie's sword hit Leon's finger. It immediately became red and swollen. Afterwards, he had to go to the hospital for a vaccine shot.
Kelly said that this time stick fencing, horse riding, and learning to act are like the princess' process of growth. She can finally sigh of relief and graduate! She said the director was very vigorious at the film scene and would yell at people. Fortunately, she was not yelled at by him. The scene, where Donnie is against a thousand of armed forces on the bridge and horses, is a reenactment of the film The Heroic Ones directed by Chang Cheh. It can be said to pay respects to Director Chang. After filming Empress, everyone was reluctant to part ways. Kelly even hugged the director and cried. Leon also hugged the director. Donnie gave the director a gift. Director Ching is still touched until now.
