They filmed An Empress And The Warriors directed by Tony Ching. It was Kelly's first taste of ancient film playing Princess of the state of Yan. She wore armor to fight for her country. Leon plays a secluded warrior, who falls in love with the wounded Princess, making his ordinary life change.

L: Someone always ask me if I would choose 'kingdom' or 'beauty'. To me, not having 'kingdom' is not a problem. Having food and four meals is fine.
K: So you choose 'beauty'?
L: Why do women want men to speak that clearly? If I want 'kingdom', you will say I don't want 'beauty. If I want 'beauty', you will say I have no dedication to work! How would you choose?
K: In this real life, of course I'll choose both!
L: You're absolutely the 'beauty' and also have a big 'goldmine kingdom'.
K: Don't joke. Your 'goldmine' is even bigger. If we don't have another half right now, do you think we'll spark?
L: Destiny is ordained! It's a different arrangement which has different happiness. You and I have fate at work which is a different type of happy experience. Our first collaboration on a movie should be Infernal Affairs 3, but there was zero contact.

Q: For this role, Kelly had to spend half a year learning to brandish swords and spears and horseriding. Do you want to turn to female action roles?
K: No! The role required me to fight, so I'll fight. Certainly if there's a similar role for me, I'll take it. I will not oppose to filming martial arts movies.
Q: There's a scene where Leon and Kelly are on a hot air ballon. Kelly revealed that Leon is afraid of heights?
L: This is not fear but not used to! (You were daring bungee jumping in an ad before?) That time it was a feeling of rushing down. It was another feeling from rising back up. I didn't control the range of it.
Q: Kelly, are you retiring from showbiz and getting married after completing your June concert?
K: No, there are no plans. I'm not thinking about retiring. My work is arranged from earlier this year until next year. Always saying that I will get married. The media has started to force me to get married from three years ago until now.
Q: There's a rumor that Kelly and manager Claudie Chung Chun will establish a company to pave the way for retirement? K: Not going to invest and opening a management company is definitely no. L: You mentioned before your boyfriend minds you filming kissing scenes. Have you reported that?

K: What do you think about our ancient look? I think it's beautiful!
L: Everyone's art standard is different. I was criticized before. But, I believe the big master Yee Chung Man always does the best.
K: It's rare for us to have a chance to work together. After the peformance, have you changed your mind about me?
L: I never suspected your work attitude. I'm also a singer, so I understand all the effort behind it. It was very hot while filming and wearing heavy and stuffy clothes. Filming towards the end, the clothes had already merged with the body as one. But you as a female can tolerate it is really strong! Can't believe you can forget yourself when you become serious. You wouldn't whine after fighting for 12 hours.
K: Thanks! Because of Mark Lui, we are already familiar with each other. I already expected that working with the you the outcome will be good. Because our appearance matches, it's easy on the eyes!
