CMSeries Email list Information Page

The CMSeries email list/loop at Yahoogroups is designed for anyone wishing to learn more about the Charlotte Mason method of education by reading her own books and engaging in discussions of a philosophical nature. Articles from her Parents Review magazine are also welcome for discussion. You are welcome to read along with us by joining the email list. List members are required to be reading along in the series, and encouraged to participate in discussions.

We did a whirlwind trip through the entire series (except vol 4, which was written for students) in 2003/2004, and the resulting summaries of the entire series, which amounts to a condensed and adapted version of the series, is now online. In 2004/2005, we went through Volumes 1 and 6. We did three simultaneous studies in 2005/2006 of Volumes 1, 4 and 6. During the 2006/2007 school year, Karen began a study of Volume 3, and Dawn Taylor went slowly through Volume 1. We also read articles from the Parents Review magazine.

Although there is a schedule posted below, we are a small enough list to be able to handle discussion from other chapters or CM writings. You may post any question, comment or discussion of any part of CM's series or Parents Review articles at any time!

However, we discourage specific questions about the practical application of implementing the CM method/which spelling/math/etc program to use, because those questions are best discussed on a more general CM list, such as the cmason list.
