DAYTON 2000

After having been licensed for more then 20 years, I finally decided I had to make the trip to the Dayton at least once. I had such a good time In 2000 I returned in 2001. The flea market is huge, you can find almost anything there. Even people like the guy in the center photo above wearing a hat with a miniature crank up tower mounted on it.

Companies large and small were packed into every corner of the HARA center, it became very congested at times. It was nice to be able to meet owners of some of the companies whose equipment I use, like Force12 and Array Solutions.

I had a great time in the evenings socializing with other contesters and DXers in the various hospertality suites at the Crown Plaza Hotel as well as attending the contesters banquet. It was great to meet so many folks from all around the world with the same common interest. But after three days and nights I was pretty worn out.
