On 160m I use an inverted-L supported by two tall pine trees. The overall length of the antenna is 170-feet with the vertical portion approximately 60-feet. A vacuum variable mounted in a feed box (shown below) is utilized to resonate the antenna and raise the feedpoint impeadance. The antenna has a useable 2:1 SWR bandwidth of approximately 70 Khz and is tuned for 1.835 Mhz. There are (32) 1/4 wavelngth ground radials laid out on my backyard and adjoining woods. This is a seasonal antenna which allows me to be active on the band from early October to late March.
