Historic Marker on Levittown Parkway near St. Michael's Church

On a sunny Sunday afternoon in July 2000, three of us armed with cameras, note paper, old photos and a map set out on a road trip in search of what became of the Levittown that many fondly remember. 

Before we started out, we talked and wondered if what we were going to chronicle would have a negative effect on peoples' memories. We all hold a picture of something in our mind that never changes, but  the actual place in that picture changes with time.

Sometimes for better and sometimes not.

We visited many of the places that I have pictured on geocities.com/levittownhomepage and tried to take pictures from the exact location of the originals. We also took pictures of homes and places that were mentioned on the Levittown Forum  for those who have moved from the area so they can see how much or little they've changed.
