• Deadline Poet - formerly an a cappella group, then a 3-woman vocal band featuring lush harmonies. Now defunct, but the web site still exists.
• The Folk Song Society of Greater Boston - a non-profit organization that sponsors monthly concerts and singing parties, midweek singing parties, a newsletter with a calendar of local folk events, and more.
• The New England Folk Festival Assocation (NEFFA) - an organization that puts on a huge folk festival each spring, featuring participatory and performance-oriented folk music and dance.
