Monday Evening Bible Study By Luke Pepper On October 19 the Monday Evening Bible Study group began a new topic. In the upcoming weeks we will be exploring and learning about the Psalms, more specifically, the use of Psalms in our devotional and worship lives. We will seek to understand the importance that the Psalms hold in Israelite religion and what they mean for us today. The group meets at 5:30pm on Mondays in the conference room and all are welcome. For more information or to express interest in participating you can talk to Luke Pepper or email him at lucas.pepper@garrett.edu
Wednesday Morning Bible Study By Mary Jane Harper The choice between "bad" or "good" is an easy one. Good should win every time. The choice between "good" or "better" may be more difficult. Staying with the familiar and comfortable feels good, besides it isn't "bad". It feels "good" to be comfortable . right? The most difficult choice "best" may be hard. Many miss what is "best" and settle for "good" or "better". The writer of Hebrews had to convince the readers to settle for nothing but God's very best for their lives. The writer showed this group of Christians, like Christians today, how to mature in their faith, to trust God by living a life of faith, by trusting in God alone. The reader also learned how to endure which leads to victory in the face of trials. The Wednesday morning bible study meets at 10:00 am, in Fellowship Hall, and studies the book of Hebrews. We "walk" along with the early believers as they learned to mature in their faith and endurance which is found in Jesus Christ alone. No outside study required &endash; just bring your Bible and let's study together! If you have any questions, please call Mary Jane Harper at 847-623-4905.
