COOL Food Pantry

In addition to our regular donation of rice, we would like to add some Thanksgiving items to our November donations. You can help make Thanksgiving a special day for all by doing any of the following:

1) Cool Food Pantry Holiday Basket - see the enclosed document. You can bring your baskets to the church and we will deliver them to COOL.

2) Bring individual items such as canned vegetables, instant potatoes, stuffing, apple juice, rolls, etc. There is a special bin for the Thanksgiving items located in the narthex.

3) If you would just like to fund a turkey, there is a web site provided for a gift check, or bring a turkey, or send a check or cash.

We will drop off the Thanksgiving items on Friday, Nov. 20.

 Soup Kitchen

Interested in helping us serve some chili? Join a group from Living Faith and other churches on November 1 at 2:00pm to help serve dinner at Christ Church in Waukegan.

We also need cakes or desserts. Normally there is anywhere from 68 to 88 guests for dinner so all contributions are appreciated!

Socks, Gloves, Mittens and Toiletries

We are collecting donations of socks, gloves and mittens to distribute to our Soup Kitchen guests. Feel free to bring those items and add to our soup kitchen bucket! They will appreciate the items.

VA Party on November 14

The VA party will be held on Saturday, November 14 from 1:30-3:30pm. We will be headed to the nursing home of the VA and watching a football game with the guys. We will serve some hot dogs, ice cream and give away a few prizes.
