Worship

Our worship services are Sundays at 10:30 AM. We have a blended worship style in which we let God speak to us through our rich tradition and contemporary forms and language.

During November we will continue exploring the Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations. We have spent time exploring Radical Hospitality, Passionate Worship, and Intentional Faith Development.

November 1

On November 1 we will remember the saints who have gone on before us and consider what it means to be involved in Risk Taking Mission and Service. God seldom asks us to do what is easy. Following where God leads often involves risk in mission and service.

November 8

On November 8, we will consider Extravagant Generosity. It is not possible to love God with our whole hearts if we are stingy with our time, our energy or our money. How can we open our hearts and our hands?

November 15

On November 15 we will have Commitment Sunday in which we will make commitments to God to live out these five practices in our congregational life, make our financial pledges to support the church's ministry in 2010, have a celebration lunch, and participate in an all church mission day.

November 22

On November 22 we will consecrate our addition and elevator. During worship we will give thanks for all that God has done to allow us to welcome others with open doors and open access. Following worship we will have a festive fellowship time.

Are We There Yet?

Have you ever gone on a long trip and just wished you there already? The season before Christmas feels like that. During those four Sundays before Christmas, the season we call Advent, we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus, we prepare for the coming of Christ in our lives and for the arrival of the Kingdom of God.

November 29

Are we there yet? Join us beginning on November 29 for the Advent season in which we will name our longing for God and find hope to sustain us in the journey.
