electroacoustic music the future of classical music
Larry Matthew Gaab (b.1950) creates sounds in an electronic environment and then plays them using various extended techniques. The works are for tape alone or mixed acoustic and electronic instruments. The musical language focuses on various abstractions, with emphasis on the elasticity and transformational aspects of sound. In the manner of intuitive music the works are in part improvised, part composed, and part computer generated. The works relate to psychological processes. Listen.
