Next Week ~ December 10th
We have visited with him at previous meetings, but this time Ed Stahl will present the program “A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To……?" Come and find out What, Where, When and Why.
This Week ~ December 3rd
Ray Botelho is a Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant, and now we all want to be on his flights.Guests:
Clyde introduced Mimi Wainwright at his table. She will be a new member. Ellen introduced the guests at her table. There was our speaker Ray Botelho, Jan Morris a visitor, and Ed Stahl .
Meeting Happenings
MarLyn opened the meeting with the
bell. (Woody Gavel must still be travelling as there has been no word from
him in a couple.) Andy led the Pledge of Allegiance,
Ellen led the song “America the Beautiful” and
Janet led the invocation. * When
MarLyn said a Happy Birthday to Pat then
Pat showed her card which said Happy Birthday to
Terry. Terry had a matching one that
said Happy Birthday to Pat. Someone was in a hurry to the
Amazon.. * It is also the 46th club anniversary for Seiji
Shiba. * When asked for a joke there was a silence
until our speaker remembered one about himself. * The fine for
the day went to everyone -and I do mean everyone- who wasn’t wearing their
membership pin. That helped the pot. * The Turkey Drive was a
success and much food was collected. * Plan to attend the
Annual Christmas Party on the 20th. * The Parade Float is in
process. Plan to assist in the final preparation on Friday about 7 at
MarLyn’s. You might find some hot chocolate
too. * We have received Thank You’s from Martha’ Kitchen and
The Los Gatos House Tour for our support. * Jan
Morris from the Los Gatos Lions’ “Just Because” group told about a
project of theirs that we might wish to join. Each year they find a family
to help at holiday time. This year the family will need long term
assistance. A single mom of three kids (one handicapped) has a terminal
CA.
Well, Al invited Jan to speak, but she is from the
Lions Club. Some one said we should fine Al for
bringing a Lion in.
Len is chairing the Parade Preparation
Booth and will be working from 9-11. * Clyde then
introduced Elizabeth who is in process of becoming a
member. She received her apron and badge with one ribbon already cut
off. She was a tireless worker at the Thanksgiving Food Drive.
* Al brought out the drawing and
Virginia won and she even selected the Ace, but she let it ride.
Happy/Sad Dollars
Somehow, there wasn’t any SAD or HAPPY $$.
